Cobra 29 LTD Classic
Cobra 29 LTD Classic is essentially the same radio as its elmer, the Cobra 29
GTL. Cobra realized the GTL was a hot seller, so the decided to keep that spirit
alive with the LTD Classic remake. - $99.95
Cobra may have made some circuit improvements when they replaced the GTL
model with the 29 LTD Classic, but for the most part the functionality and features
are the same as its GTL predecessor. The current LTD radio series even have
the original delta-tune feature, which used to only be popular with the older 23
channel and tube type radios due to their tendency to drift and frequency
instability.. The delta-tune is essentially a fine tune receive frequency control
(similar to a clarifier or RIT on current SSB CB Radios).
Truckers and most CB users appreciate the 29 LTD Classic and continues to sell
well mainly because in addition to having loud TX audio, great receive, and good
swing, easy to modify, they also have a nice finish and solid feel to them. All
controls and switches feel solid with a good smooth and rugged feel to them.
